Founder
Gill Enterkin

A founder who could run a class. Not yet a foundation that could run itself.

Gill Enterkin founded WoodChix with one clear aim: getting more women into woodworking. She's the foundation's lead and most qualified tutor, skilled enough to train the teachers who go on to teach woodworking in Australian schools. Her classes and her advocacy had built a following, people who kept coming back and brought others with them. The brand and website carrying that following forward held almost none of what made it work.

The gap wasn't just visual. Every new person WoodChix reached had to hear Gill's story from scratch, because nothing in the brand told it for her, and every class filling up through word of mouth and direct messages meant Gill handling each registration by hand with nothing set up to promote what was coming next.

We rebranded WoodChix from the ground up, keeping the warmth of the original identity while adding the polish the foundation had grown into, then built a website around two jobs: telling Gill's story well enough to turn a visitor into a booking, and taking the booking process off her plate completely. Social got a set of templates and a clear voice of its own to work from. More recently, we built a custom workshop manager and attendee admin system that takes the manual handling out of running classes altogether.

Gill leads the teaching. The brand and systems we built help her growing team of volunteers carry everything around it.
