A brand for a business that brands others.
branded.com.au makes and supplies the things a business puts its name on: uniforms, merch, signage and fleet branding, all through one team. It works behind other companies’ brands, and it pitches to organisations running at scale, the kind with large numbers of staff to outfit across multiple sites. A supplier like that has an unusual brief. Its own brand has to stay out of the client’s way while still giving that client a reason to trust it.
The identity had to work wherever a supplier shows up: on tape and cartons, and on the screen in a pitch meeting. It also had to be easy for the team to use without a designer in the room.
We built a black and white identity around a rounded B mark with a single pink dot, and drew a graphic language of pill shapes and dot-grid patterns from that mark. The brand guide goes past the logo and the Graphie typeface. It sets a customer-facing voice around the line “The brand behind your brand.” and a separate internal voice, with brand values and plain principles for how the team writes and speaks. Social templates built on factory photography carry the same look online.
branded.com.au’s own brand now sits quietly on every carton, card and hoodie it ships.
