From a brand and website to a campaign.
Nepean Liquor Accord is a partnership of local clubs, pubs, bars, restaurants and bottle shops, working with Nepean Police Command, Penrith City Council and OLGR to reduce alcohol-related crime and anti-social behaviour in the Penrith and St Marys area.
We started with the brand and the website. The identity is a teal wordmark with the line “Local ideas. Real solutions.”, and the site explains what a liquor accord is, lists the campaigns and strategies in action, and invites venues to join. We also built the membership platform, which handles subscriptions and a members-only login area, so a venue can sign up and manage its membership online.
The relationship has carried on into campaigns, and the most recent is Every Line’s A Risk, which addresses cocaine use across licensed venues in the Nepean region. We created most of it, from the stamped campaign identity to the printed pieces: posters, coasters with a QR code, brochures, an information sheet and venue signage. A campaign page sits on the Nepean Liquor Accord website, and we prepared the briefing for the campaign event.
The posters are blunt. One shows a detection dog at a bar under the line “They’ll sniff you out”, another reads “You’re not fooling anyone”, and a third pairs a bruised face with “Worth it?” Venue versions list the risks, from a criminal record to a venue ban.
From membership to campaigns, Nepean Liquor Accord now speaks in one voice, and the work with Simple Media goes on.
